# High Static & Dynamic Loads on Railway Wagon Axles from Wagon and Cargo Weight

## Loads on Railway Wagon Axles

Railway axles are subjected to extreme static and dynamic loads. Static load is created by the weight of the wagon and cargo, while dynamic load occurs when moving along rails, at switches, and when passing through curved track sections.

### Load Characteristics:

- Static load on a freight wagon axle: up to 25 tons
- Dynamic loads when passing switches: up to 3-4 times the static load
- Peak loads during braking: up to 2 times
- Impact loads at rail joints: short-term but intense

## Bearing Requirements

For high axial load conditions, bearings are required with:

- Increased load capacity (series 30200, 30300, 31300)
- Reinforced separators made of brass or polyamide
- High manufacturing accuracy (P5, P4)
- Special lubricant for high loads
