# Main Shaft (Rotor Support)

## Main Shaft (Rotor Support)

The main shaft of a wind turbine connects the rotor to the gearbox and transmits torque from the blades. It withstands significant loads from the rotor weight (up to 500 tons) and wind forces, operating at low speeds (10-20 rpm).

## Loads on Bearings

- Static load from rotor and blade weight
- Dynamic loads from wind gusts
- Moment loads from uneven forces
- Axial loads from wind pressure

## Solutions

High-load capacity spherical roller bearings are used. Two bearings are applied: a fixed bearing and a floating bearing to compensate for thermal expansion. Bearings with automatic lubrication systems are recommended.
