## Belt-Driven Motors

Belt-driven motors are used to drive conveyors, pumps, and other equipment. The belt drive generates significant radial loads on the drive-end bearings.

## Load Characteristics

- High radial loads from belt tension
- Side loads from pulley misalignment
- Vibration from belt irregularities
- Shock loads during startup

## Solutions

Ball bearings and roller bearings with increased load capacity are used. Bearings with reinforced cages are employed. Re-greaseable bearings are recommended.
