# Abrasive Particles Cause Damage to Bearing Surfaces

## Abrasive Particles Cause Damage to Bearing Surfaces

During concrete mixer operation, abrasive particles of cement, sand, and crushed stone penetrate into bearings. These particles cause micro-scratches and damage to raceway and roller surfaces.

## Consequences of Contamination

- Micro-scratches on raceway surfaces
- Accelerated wear of contact surfaces
- Lubricant degradation
- Reduced rotational accuracy

## Solutions

Bearings with multi-stage seals are applied. Bearings with protective washers are used. The use of ventilation filters and regular lubricant replacement is recommended.
