## Work Roll Necks

Work roll necks are the supporting elements on which the rolls of a rolling mill rotate. Neck bearings operate under extreme loads, high temperatures, and significant vibration.

## Loads

- Extremely high radial loads
- Axial loads from axial thrust
- Impact loads during strip gripping
- Thermal loads from heated metal

## Solutions

Four-row tapered roller bearings and cylindrical roller bearings with high load capacity are used. Bearings with heat-resistant lubricants are applied. A circulation lubrication system is recommended.
